Kindergarten Math Core: Challenges
What appears to be your greatest challenge in using the new math domain?
I think that the use of appropriate materials is the biggest challenge. In the past we have always used base ten blocks, but the research tells us that there are problems in that the kids cannot actually compose and de-compose a ten like they can with stacking cubes.
